The husk (skin) is the outer covering of the Sesame Seeds, extracted during the peeling/hulling and brushing steps of sesame processing. It is a fibrous material – light brown in color and free from harmful constituents and rancidity.
Sesame husk has prebiotic properties and hence it is good for animal health. It is a functional ingredient for animal feed manufacturing. Dry husk is considered a great supplement for feeding livestock and can also be used as a source of fiber for various products.
